Meow Diary Privacy Policy ========================= Who we are Meow Diary is operated by an independent developer. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to byrjs600@gmail.com. Data we process We process information you provide or create: email address, display name, username, profile and cat details, selected photos, posts, comments, likes, follows, reports, shared-cat care records, private messages, voice messages and cat sound cards. We also process account identifiers and the minimum technical request information needed to operate and protect the service. Why we use it We use this data to create and secure accounts; deliver the feed, profiles, follows, messages, shared care and sound-card features; sync data; respond to support and safety reports; prevent abuse; and delete data when requested. We do not sell personal data, use it for third-party advertising or track users across other companies' apps and websites. Storage and service providers Cloud account and community data is stored and processed by Supabase. If you explicitly enable AI cat-friend replies, the six most recent messages in that conversation may be sent to Cloudflare Workers AI to generate a relevant reply. Turning the toggle off stops new AI requests. The automated account does not initiate unsolicited messages. Public, shared and local content Feed posts, comments, profiles and sound cards are visible to signed-in users. Direct messages are available only to their participants. Shared-cat records are visible only to accepted carers. Private mood letters and their selected photos stay in the app's local storage on that Android or iOS device and are not uploaded by this feature. Photos and microphone The system photo picker provides only photos you select. Microphone permission is requested only when you choose to record a voice message or cat sound card. Retention and deletion Cloud data is kept while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can permanently delete your account from Profile → Delete account permanently or use the public deletion page at meowdiaryapp.com/delete-account/. The deletion process removes the account, associated database records and user-uploaded cloud files; local private diary data is also removed from the device when deletion is completed in the app. Limited security, backup or legal records may remain only where reasonably necessary or legally required and will not be used for unrelated purposes. Your choices You can edit profile content, delete your own posts, remove local photos, disable AI replies, report or block users, revoke photo or microphone access in Android or iOS settings and permanently delete the account.
